1.Wait a reasonable amount of time (at least 20-30 minutes) before entering the property after guests have left, and ventilate rooms before you clean. Ask clients to open windows before they leave.

2.Wear protective gear (disposable gloves, aprons and masks) and make sure you wash your hands immediately after removing gloves.

3.Clean, then disinfect. Use detergent or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, disinfect with a virucidal product, paying special attention to frequently touched surfaces such as light switches, remote controls, taps, keys and door handles.

4.Empty and clean the vacuum cleaner after every changeover.

5.Use new, disposable cleaning cloths for each guest.

6.Wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended by the manufacturer (a cycle of at least 60°C for at least 30 minutes) and remember to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry. Take care also to avoid shaking laundry, which could increase the spread of germs. Wash hands and change gloves before making up fresh beds.

7.Don't forget about rugs and other soft furnishings; if possible machine-wash these items according to the manufacturer's instructions.
